The SPP 1243 Mid-term meeting is approaching and we like to give you some more detailed information about this upcoming event.
As you already know the meeting takes place at the Jacobs University Bremen.
The scientific program starts on the 25th at 8:45 a.m. and ends on the 27th approx. at 12:35 p.m.
For those of you that arrive in the evening of the 24th, there will be an informal get-together in the Faculty Club (also known as University Club), where food (cold buffet from 7 p.m. on) and drinks will be provided.
At the entrance of the Jacobs University Campus, the porter will hand out your apartment keys and direct you to apartments and Faculty Club.
You can either register Sunday (from 5 p.m. on) in the Faculty Club or Monday morning in front of the “lecture Hall, Research III”.
You will stay in comfortable 2-room apartments (some single apartments are reserved for referees and DFG responsible) of the Jacobs University guesthouse, with separated bedrooms and shared bathrooms. The guesthouse provides no full hotel-service, that means bed sheets and towels are provided but shower accessories, hairdryer etc. should be brought along.
All rooms are equipped with (free) Ethernet connections but you have to bring along your own Ethernet cable. WLAN is available in the lecture hall.
As already mentioned in the first invitation letter you received, costs for travel, accommodation and meals for one PI and one collaborator per group (or two collaborators if the PI is impeded) will be covered by the DFG.
The DFG sponsored participants will shortly receive an official invitation with the DFG reimbursement forms.
Several groups registered with more participants, which is greatly appreciated.
We are therefore looking forward to the pleasant number of 66 participants!
For the additional participants we kindly ask you to cover the costs from individual University budget. Prof. Kleinekathöfer will calculate the daily rates for self payers.
To find your way to the Jacobs University, please take a look at "venue and directions". For further information please see the downloads for "program and participants".
For any questions and concerns please refer to Alessio Gagliardi (gagliardi@bccms.uni-bremen.de) or Prof. Ulrich Kleinekathöfer (u.kleinekathoefer@jacobs-university.de).
We are looking forward to welcome you soon in Bremen
With best regards
your organizing committee
