The Molecular Electronics subgroup is interested in transport through single molecules contacted by tunnel-junctions. The research focuses on the aspects where single molecules differ from ordinary, top-down fabricated, nano-devices. This includes effects due to vibrational and magnetic excitations localized on the molecule.
